Tie Ta (Iron Pagoda) of Youguo Temple
Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127 AD)
1049, Ŧ Renzong (1022-1063 AD)
Comments: This pagoda is so-named because of the colour of the
building's glazed casing bricks which resemble that of rusty iron. It is a 55 m, 13-stories octagonal-base pagoda built on the location of a pre-
vious wooden structure that was burnt down by lightning fire in 1044.
